help translate cairo-clock 0.3.3
I am in the middle of polishing cairo-clock a bit (bug-fixing, smooth animations, new themes, public repository, localization etc.) and need some help with translation. Here’s the german po file. What languages are needed? Well except for german and english there is nothing else yet. Any contributions should be send to macslow at gmail dot com. Please also state your full name and email for the credits!

I would like to help to translate to Spanish, if it has not been done yet. I cannot download the po file. Anyway, mein Deutsch is sehr slecht, so I\’d rather wait to the es.po

I’ve seen how you added cairo-clock to freedesktops.org gitweb.
And I followed how you added patches like crazy for it in the past to days.
You’re insane!

Will it be possible to move the second hand REALLY smooth? I don\’t like these quartz-steps. Every mechanical watch has a smooth movement (e.g. see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhIaqq2G6lw ). Apart of this I like the style a lot, simple and nice design! Very well!

How about making the smoothest setting one where hands never stop moving forward: the second hand takes one second to move from one second mark to the next (it never arrives at the mark and goes backward, even a little bit), the minute hand takes one minute to move from one minute mark to the next, and the hour hand takes one hour to move from one hour mark to the next? I suggest this because after watching the movie (thanks for distributing Ogg Theora!) I can\\\’t tell the difference between the middle smoothness and full smoothness settings. They both seem to me to let the second hand move forward and fall backward into the destination mark.

I couldn’t find a working email address, so here’s a patch to get the .desktop file to install. Hopefully the formatting doesn’t get completely borked.

I saw your call for translators and I am willing to help but I would like to know if, just for consistence, are you considering to adhere to the current gnome terminology? I am talking about terms present in the Desktop User Guide:
pager - workspace switcher applet
taskbar - window list applet
So, what do you say?

Portuguese is actually \Portuguese is actually "pt".
Portuguese from Brazil is "pt-BR" (pt_BR in this case).

@ steveway: The commits to cairo-clock aren’t that huge. Better many small commits than few large ones.
@ Heinz: Sure that could be done. But the current "jerky" animation I like a lot better. A complete smooth motion is easy to implement, but looks not "real world"-like (although it might be closer to reality).
@ J.B. Nicholson-Owens: Hm… right now the smoothness is all about "frames per second" (1..60). I admit that 60 fps for a cairo-based program right now is more than overkill. Especially considering the state of hw-acceleration of cairo at the moment. But it will not stay this grim forever
The way the hands move right now is like this… the hour-hand continously moves all the time, the minute-hand only moves once each minute for a second, the second-hand moves constantly. The animation for the second- and minute-hands is equal.
